i-design (a wholly owned subsidiary of i-design group plc) has created an ATM advertising technology and media sales solution called atmAd that enables network owners, such as retail banks, to generate revenues from one-to-one advertising on their ATM screens and receipts.

Launched in 2004 atmAd is now installed on over 6,500 ATMs throughout the UK, delivering approximately 600 million transactions per annum. The Group’s atmAd banking customers include Nationwide Building Society, Banco Santander and RBS (including Tesco Bank).

As well as providing the software solution to enable internal and third party advertising on ATMs, i-design is responsible for the selling and managing of third party advertising campaigns on ATMs, through its London based media sales and operations team.  atmAd advertisers include British Airways, Orange, Vodafone, Hewlett Packard, Burger King and Nivea.

In addition, the company provides specialist expertise in ATM user interface design. Approximately 1 billion of the 2.7 billion ATM transactions carried out in the UK  incorporate graphical content created by the company. ATM screen interface design clients have included Lloyds TSB, Cardpoint, Tesco Bank, Co-operative Bank and Travelex.
